Travel Day 1

The adventure started with a 7 hour delay due to a typhoon near Taiwan. I preferred taking a delay to trying to fly into a typhoon, so it wasn't the end of the world. We're currently sitting in the Taipei airport and no sign of the storm thank God!

EVA air had already booked us on their 8pm flight into Bangkok so we'll still be getting in tonight. Probably eat some dinner before we get on the flight so we can just get to the Airbnb and fall asleep.

As for tomorrow, not really sure what we have planned but expecting the host to give us all the cool places to check out in the two days we have. If not, tourist books and looking for temples and Buddhas.

Also please forgive me for typos throughout this trip, as I am doing all of my typing on my phone.

One Week

Less than one week left until the longest plane ride I've ever been on. Luckily they provide us with all the movies and TV we could imagine. Alex and I are getting all the final things in order: first aid kits, copies of all our documents, planning what to do in each location, camera memory, etc. There's more stuff to get ready than there is time, but anything we forget won't make a difference.

I thought I would be feeling a little more nervous than I am, but I suppose I have a week to get more nervous. It's not being nervous about the adventure, but more being nervous about not knowing what this place is like.

At any rate, super excited and have already started the packing process in true Nuechterlein fashion. I will probably end up at the airport a day early...

Until next time, which will probably be when I'm in Asia!
