Beach Life 1

We woke up to the sunshine and the sounds of waves on the sand.

(View from our front porch)

We walked across the way to grab a bite to eat and then sunscreened up for the day. It's so nice that we can have the beach right here, we don't have to go anywhere for it. If I need to get out of the sun I can, and if Alex wants to stay in the sun (which she usually does) she can.

(My feet and the beach)

We took a long walk today between sunning and swimming. The water here is the perfect temperature and even clearer than in Mui Ne. It's also nice not to be in such a busy touristy place.

We literally just chilled all day and RWC (read, wrote, and cribbaged). There are a couple people here but it's super low key. The food is average and kind of expensive, but they can do that since everything is so spread out.

We watched the sun set and got a taxi to bring us out to a restaurant called Sakura. We figured since we're eating all our other meals at the resort we should venture out a little.

It started storming HARD and lightning everywhere, but we still hopped in the cab and went out. The food was as good as the trip advisor ratings said it was.

(Me after our meal. Alex says I don't take good pictures of her so I had her take one of me)

It was a late dinner so we cabbed back to the resort, did a little reading, and called it a night. We're hoping to go snorkeling and fishing tomorrow on a tour, but are waiting for a confirmation email. We'll see what happens, but either way more fun in the sun tomorrow. Hopefully I'll continue to avoid a bad sunburn (knock on wood).

"A journey, after all, neither begins in the instant we set out, nor ends when we have reached our door step once again. It starts much earlier and is really never over, because the film of memory continues running on inside of us long after we have come to a physical standstill. Indeed, there exists something like a contagion of travel, and the disease is essentially incurable."

  1. What a cool looking place. I have never stayed in a place so close to the beach.
