Earth Tone

We had a lazy morning started off with a FaceTime with the rents. It's always great to chat with them - this blog is helpful too because then we can just chat instead of me just filling them in! Love those two!...and Toffee of course. 

We still had the moped from yesterday so we drove to Alex's favorite restaurant called Earth Tones. I think it's all vegetarian but super hippie, we went there yesterday for lunch too. I had the quinoa salad and Al had the waffle with fruit - she definitely won. 

Then we had to return the moped unfortunately, but it won't be the last time we use one. Best way to get around! The rest of the day was super casual, chilled on the porch as it poured in the afternoon just reading, writing, and booking of trains.  

We got a little hungry so we headed to lunch...and guess where Alex wanted to go?! Earth Tone. Luckily they have lots of different types of foods and it's all good so it worked out. We also feel safe with this place since it was the first food we ate post-food poisoning. 

This evening were just doing more reading and writing and enjoying of the views. 

We ended the night at Na's kitchen for some spring rolls and curry. We strolled around the market to find little trinkets from Pai. It was a later night for us coming back around 10:30, but we're still getting back to full health, so whatever. #oldsouls

We're headed into Laos tomorrow, but have to leave around 8:30 from Pai to make it back into Chiang Mai in time. It'll be mainly a travel day but we'll have dinner in Luang Prabang tomorrow. Crazy were already onto the second country!

One thing we've noticed here that's different is almost no one accepts card. You have to use cash except for things like train tickets. It's kind of annoying, but it saves the vendors money, so you go vendors.
